Her first appearance was in 14 when she won the Fed Cup as the youngest Russian tennis player. At 15 years old, she made it to the U.S Open and managed to reach the semifinals in Wimbledon. Unfortunately, she was forced to quit tennis professionally when she reached 21 because of severe back pain.
